Let’s take an example from the Predator meter by Hidroconta, a Woltmann-type meter approved for use in potable water and irrigation systems. The following information can be found:

  1. Manufacturer’s name: the company that produced the meter.
  2. National metrology mark for use in public hydraulic water: certification for use in public hydraulic water domains.
  3. Type certificate number issued by the control body for use in public hydraulic water: identification number for the type approval issued by the relevant control authority.
  4. European ce mark and additional metrology mark for use in potable water: compliance with european standards and additional metrology certification for potable water.
  5. Ce type certificate number issued by the notified body for use in potable water: identification number for the type approval issued by the notified body for potable water use.
  6. Permanent flow rate admitted by the meter: the maximum continuous flow rate the meter can handle.
  7. Pressure loss class: classification indicating the pressure drop across the meter.
  8. Sensitivity class or installation conditions: sensitivity rating and specific installation requirements.
  9. Maximum admissible pressure for the equipment: the highest pressure the meter can safely withstand.
  10. Working ratio of the meter: the operational range or ratio of the meter.
  11. Serial number of the meter issued by the manufacturer: unique identification number assigned by the manufacturer.
